I know that there are many different ways that clients pay for their adverts. I assumed that yours would work on a pay per click basis, my mistake, not the end of the world.
Mucho adds work on a cost per impression basis, I get it. But how do they know that they are being blocked from our screen? That's all that is happening, is it not? I thought that it would still be loaded up on your site, just not shown on my screen. It's not as though ABP can change your site itself to stop the advert loading.
Or am I way off?

adblockers don't render them at all.. if they requested the image/code ad companies would be none the wiser.. thats not how it goes tho.. ad blockers are counter productive to having free sites.. if everyone used adblockers everyone would have to resort to other revenue streams (pay sites), or selling your personal information (myspace, facebook etc)
people who use adblockers have always been scum to me, not only because i run free sites, but because i don't believe people should have to pay for things if they don't want to. but running that ends up working against everyone in the long run.
there are sites with so many advertisements on it you can't tell whats content and what isn't, but they do it so they can actually make enough to pay the thousands of dollars a month it costs to pay for servers and bandwidth etc.
i'm done bitching, but i'm most likely going to institute it so if you run an adblocker you just won't be able to use mucho anymore (which is relatively easy to do)

oh good i thought it was suddenly my internet connection that was fucking up my speed at which i get mucho. i usually can get like 9 tabs up loading 6 pics and 3 or 4 vids no problem.. now i have to limit it to 2 tabs of vids and still it loads slow..

Video load times are dependant on server load. Site popularity has increased server load and increased page loading times, to fix this more servers will be needed to handle the extra traffic and more advertising dollars will be needed to for these extra servers.
