Downvote because Squidley upvoted it because it was fluffer who subbed it.

Bob Hope brought us joy through laughter
Johnny Cash brought us joy through song
but all i can see is Steve Jobs brought us things we dont need or require

Apple software is terrible. The hardware is poor value for money too.
i strongly disagree with the software being terrirble, osx is quite nice to use... as far as the hardware, its quite good quality, but the value for it is not great, but the price for something should never be a factor in the quality of it as a negative, people want to pay more for something, fine with me... its not like people are forced to buy their products so they can price them however they want..
that being said, after owning several macs and a macbook pro i can say i probably wouldn't buy a mac anytime soon.

I find it incredibly frustrating using osx. When I use windows, there is a level of intuitiveness when you browse using explorer. In osx, I feel confined and restricted, everything is a chore to do. itunes is like using the nintendo ds operating system.

listen at you bitches crying over a bunch of dumb software.... these companies sell you a bunch of shit that you niether need or in truth want but with clever marketing make you think you cant live without... stupid ants in the stack

the problem, MD, is that apple software is made for computer idiots that need everything spoon fed to them cause they can barely managed to turn the damn thing on. people who have half enough sense to run a computer find apple software to be useless. apple makes toys for rich people, not functional tools

also, i dont even know who bob hope is and johnny cash had a handful of good songs he did right before he died. other than that he is nothing special from other musicians
5 years ago
fries rivalry with squidley has made him go crazy and he is taking plantshits place
5 years ago
Johnny Cash is a legend, mostly his music got worse as he got older imo, but either way he had more then a handful of good songs..

bob hope is a comedian who use to entertain the troops back in the day. he is well known for holding a golf club is all i remember of him.

Im the opposite and don't like most his old stuff, but love the last albums he made.

Yeah I gotta say fries, thats some silly talk. After all, without operating system software, you wouldn't be on mucho, free to talk as silly as you like.

some of the smartest computer people i know use a mac actually...
that being said, the reason why you find 'windows intuitive' is because you've been using it for how long?
vs trying another operating system
its like saying the new ubuntu is not intuitive.. .give it a bit and you'd change your mind...
to be honest i can do without Mucho. im only here because i have the internet and computers
5 years ago
no fries, im just not old fashioned like you. someone who is saying software is not needed but is using it, like MD said
5 years ago
without 'software' there wouldnt be the internet...

Yak I've used ubuntu, and it's superb. Osx doesn't even compare, and they charge for it.
ive used both, and i strongly disagree :P
then again some people seem to have bias against certain companies/things because of who knows what...

I don't like apple because they sell dressed up turds with a high price tag. I used to hear that apple was great for graphic design and creative pursuits. Utter, utter Bollocks.

remember the change from dos to windows? when it went from actually having to type a command to just point and click?

apple still leads the way in non linear editing as well as sound production... by far..
used to be they lead in graphic design, not so much anymore...
i believe you'll find if you were to look that most of the best programmers and web designers still use macs... to say if that means something i'm not really sure...
as far as not liking apple because they sell things that are high price....... if you dont like the price.. dont buy it?
it is all about supply and demand...
like ive said up there... just because something is higher priced doesnt really mean anything... are you saying apple hardware is inferior to pc hardware? obviously you know thats not true.. it just demands a premium because of the design as well as the integrated nature of it (same with buying say... an alienware pc)
saying something is 'overpriced' doesnt make sense.... if its selling its perfect priced... if it was overpriced it wouldnt sell...

there are some things I hate about ubuntu but I can seemlessly change OS's without much hassle. OSX is the one I have least experience with but I still have a hang on it
5 years ago
Well for value for money, PC hardware has Apple hands down. But of course, PC's arent a brand, but apple is, yet another opportunity they have to confine their users when using their product. You cant really compare the two in that way. You said to oranje that someones value isnt based on how much they earn monetarily, and im applying that to apple. The price doesnt indicate quality, and I don't buy their products because I can purchase superior functionality from other products, for far cheaper.

For example, my laptop cost me £600 quid, has highly exceptional sound quality, high powered graphics and allows me to model and animate in the most complex commercially available 3d software on the market. To achieve the same thing on an apple would cost me thousands.

Developers like Apple because it works. Now they have a lot less trouble to make it work then people developing for open systems. It's like preferring a premium snap on screw driver on a leatherman. You know it's gonna be able to screw the screws for which it is designed. And a leatherman will be able to do that too, but you have to get the correct part out, and it might not feel so good in you hand.
Apple is just ridiculously overpriced. I agree with yak you shouldn't buy it then. And I don't. I never consciously bought an apple product in my life. I have had discussions with people over and again about the stupidest logic ever, if it costs more its better. People just don't seem to understand that others have not the slightest problem with selling inferior products for a high price. Apple and Bose are very nice examples of how you can charge people way to much money for things that simply work. They don't work any better then cheaper more performant tools. It's just a brainless monkey can use them. And people hate to use their brain for some reason. They don't seem to find any gratitude in solving a technical problem. I don't hate apple, I hate the brainless people using them "cause it's better cause it's more expensive and everybody knows that." I don't hate the developers using it because they know it will just do what it is designed for and nothing else.
