What? Are you zeek now or something? Gonna talk about juicing and clean living and then horse down a few Snickers?

Also, all of the above are not flavored with sugar. They use HFCS.
the HFCS would equal about the same as the sugar used and there is no difference between HFCS and sugar to your body
5 years ago
Do some reading. There are significant differences, cumquat.
Snickers? I don't eat snickers. Fyi, cigarettes and alcohol are vegan trekkie.
actually drum is right.. sugar is sugar is sugar is sugar..
only difference is high fructose corn syrup is able to pack more 'sugar' in to a smaller area, so 'generally' there can be a higher sugar content in a smaller overall amount of product (like in soft drinks)
to your body its all the same shit different pile

glucose as glucose

lmao @ smerf

But high FRUCTOSE corn syrup is NOT glucose and it takes both to make sucrose, which is the primary component of cane sugar. There are metabolic differences between the way the body processes these substances. Most importantly the fact that fructose must be metabolized in the liver, while glucose is freely utilized by red blood cells.

Also, there is some compelling research showing a difference of neurological response. Fructose provokes feeding response, while glucose causes satiety (look it up). http://www.pnas.org/content/105/44/16871.full

fuck you. i wont learn something today!

the commercials want you to think its the same. fuck that HFCS its ok in moderation bullshit. they can only get away with saying it because they dont define moderation, which if they did would be like 1 soda a month
5 years ago
Ding, thanks for typing what I wouldn't BloodyNine. There are significant differences between the two.
Not really. I used to drink soda all the time, but never craved one. I don't even care for candy.
Also, the empty cup is bullshit.
I used to drink soda all the time, but never craved one...

I used to drink soda all the time
I used to drink soda all the time
I used to drink soda all the time
As in, maybe once every couple of days. Which I consider "all the time", compared to now which is more like once a month.
How much in Four Loko there buddy?
is that water on the left?
the bottle looks like "aquavista," but according to their website, aquavista has 0g of carbs.
well i know apparently a lot of drink companies use some sort of legal loopholes in order to put carbs (sugar) into their products in trace amounts which allow them to say 0carbs even though they arent
5 years ago
theres no sugar in the bag, it just looks a bit like there is because of the light reflecting on a fold on the corner of the bag.
wow.....makodragon finally makes himself useful

The laws of chance indicate that it had to happen eventully.

Love in this age of fat Americans and Atkins diets how it's become cool to declare war on sugar. Newsflash you diabetic fatasses: It's not all about sugar.
You realize that in cases of diabetics it actually IS all about sugar, right?
Just say yes. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here.
lol he must have been being sarcastic.
I'm an MD, dumbass. -And, in fact, diabetes is NOT just all about the sugar.

Saying that's like saying the only factor that determines how well your car runs is the gas in the gas tank.
Sugar really is toxic. It destroys cells because when you eat too much of it, it gets forced into them. The eyes are particularly susceptible to its toxicity.
Ok doctor, explain why fat or protein intake effects a diabetic's blood sugar levels.
because he went to school for 20 years to answer asinine questions on the internet....
shut up tr
OK, look. Maybe if you have type 1 diabetes, its all about the sugar. But that's most definitely the minority. Most American diabetics are type 2 fatasses that need an entire lifestyle change, not just insulin shots. I see these people every day that are morbidly obese, have wrecked hips/knees/feet, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Then they come see me to do something for them because they can't sleep due to their sleep apnea. WTF?

Here's my medical opinion: You can solve 99% of your health problems just by loosing some weight. Do any of them do it? Sometimes. But most don't, and it's annoying as hell. These people are going to die 20 years earlier than they should, because they don't have the self control to diet and exercise.
Agreed. Bad carbs are a huge reason aswell, potato chips, white rice, etc etc. Fuckin terrible for you
5 years ago
And most of those people the only reason their heart rates get elevated is when the jerk off
5 years ago
Type 2 diabetes happens because your muscle and fat cells stop responding to insulin, because you continually ate too much sugar. What the fuck are you a doctor of?
hes talking about managing the disease after you already have it
5 years ago
Carbs spike insulin as well. They break down to sugar
5 years ago
Meh, when it boils down to it, you can only blame the person. It's like a ripple effect, the fatter the person gets, the more they have to eat to be satisfied, that's just simple physics. No one is willing to change their eatings habits because let's be honest, healthy food tastes like shit.
No, you've just been conditioned to believe that. I've eaten nothing but clean wholesome food for 3 years and processed food tastes fucking horrible. A lot of times it makes me sick or vomit
5 years ago
I eat healthy as well but I can fortunately control myself. However, people who eat nothing but junk food 24/7 have a hard time transitioning to healthy food because it taste like shit compared to their junk food. That's what I meant by that.
A lo of junk food tastes like crap.
*lot
Sugars are a simple form of carbohydrates and are easily absorbed and distributed. Complex carbohydrates break down slower and provide a slower increase in blood sugar that can hold at a steady level, while simple sugars cause peaks and valleys.
Wait, wait, wait......did a doctor just say "loosing?"
he misspelled "breathe" on another comment, too...dammit, he's a doctor, not a sixth grader!

Soda and sugary drinks are just fucking nasty. And the "sugar free" shit is even worse with the sucralose and aspartame. Just drink some spring water with a slice of lemon in it or a glass of unsweetened iced tea.
Fag, go count your calories.
