They're both fairytales...

Jesus is NOT God...wtf is wrong with you?

According to the holy trinity, jesus is god. Or something like that.

Acording to my mommy the tooth fairy likes to sneak into little kids bedrooms and take their teeth...

The Holy Trinity is comprised of: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost...
And they are all god.
not really..
they make up the holy trinity, they are not really one in the same however they are three states, kind of like solid liquid and gas, water can exist as all 3 but water isnt all 3...
yea.. i know.. your mind = blown

soooo god really lives in the sea or something

My question if god is real,, then who made him,,, and if someone made the person who made god then who made that person... and what were they doing for hundreds of billions of years before were created.. Just hanging out

They are three distinct "persons" of God but they are all the same "essence", meaning they are each fully God, at least according to Catholic theology. See what a well-rounded education gets you?

What about the plasma state? Wait is that where the Priests and choir boys enter the equation?

thats like the universe.... it must end somewhere and when it does , whats outside that ?...

probably dimensions that we are affected by but dont occupy.
^not necessarily. Most astrophysicists these days think there isn't enough matter in the universe to stop the expansion, implying the uinverse is boundless.
boundless in the third dimension. not necessarily the 4th.

I was replying to fries. I don't know nearly enough about it to be discussing interdimensional implications.

I need to get laid.

I'll smoke a bowl and get back to you.

With the inter-dimensional stuff, you mean. Otherwise, I applaud your generosity, but it's not necessary.
Yeah that's what I meant, you interposting bastard. Plus you're not my type.

The 4th dimension is time.

As for the holy trinity, it depends on what flavor of Christian you are. Catholics and and most "catholic-lite" derivatives believe Jesus and God are one and the same: The holy trinity. Protestants of various flavors believe in varying degrees in the differentiation of God and Jesus.

I've thought about it makodragon, and I could be wrong, but if a given dimension is bounded, wouldn't it be necessarily true that every dimension below it is also bounded? So if the 4th dimension is bounded, as you suggest, the 3rd couldn't be boundless, even with an infinite expansion. Which in turn suggests that if the universe (in the 3rd dimension) is in fact boundless, all higher dimension must also be boundless. Thoughts?

i'll go ask stephen hawking..... he said you guys should just piss off.

Its relative Gottlos. Lets consider the scenario that there IS enough matter in the universe for it to collapse in on itself eventually. In that case all dimensions will then cease to exist, and that is a boundary of time, the 4th dimension. Now imagine a flat 2d surface where nothing 3 dimensional exists, its perfectly flat. Now curve the flat surface so that it becomes a perfect sphere. Now imagine walking on the surface of the sphere, in one direction and you will end up at the point that you started walking in. Therefore its boundless despite the 4th dimension being ultimately bound. Thats how the 3rd dimension could exist, as a curve. Thats how I make sense of it. Its not one theory but combined theories, and also not necessarily true!

mormons aren't really christians.

The father, the son and the holy ghost are three different representations of the same spirit or god if you wish. however each one represent a different aspect of christianity. the father being the creator(almighty seeing blah fucking blah), the son is the earthly representation, jesus and his deeds and teachings on earth ( water to wine, feeding the masses, healingss yadda yadda yadda. the holy ghost being faith and sacrifice. and now my head hurts

I got it wrong Lemmy is god

And with atheism I don't have to waste a moment's consideration on these debates.
