There are alternatives. As jenbirdy said juicing is a good possibility, and I've heard that a microbiotic diet, or a raw vegan diet has mostly the same effect. (Watch Forks over Knives as well.) Also, google miracle mineral solution and read up on it. It's extremely controversial and banned in some countries, but worth at least looking into if she refuses other treatments.
Jesus, tool. I'm so sorry to hear that. She's obviously a very strong woman, so I wouldn't be surprised if she manages to pull through this. Just try to stay positive.
zeke is right, there have been many different "CURES" for cancer discovered and looked over because they do not make anyone money....
