Well KFC, I think what she meant was that given that the majority of these dictators were in power in the 'industrial' age in their respective countries, guns had a big play in the militarization of countries. The guns civilians possess today amount to nothing compared to new military weaponry. Idiot.
Are you kidding me zeke? A 30-06 can shoot straight through any body armor that a soldier wears. .50 caliber rifles are available to the public and those can punch through most armor besides tanks. We have seen rag heads use improvised explosives to take out tanks. Yet guns and the weapons a civilian populace has access to are useless? One bullet from one gun in the right guy can change history. Idiots.
