this is ridiculous ...if 'mask' is a metaphor for something we hide behind then fair enough but hollywoods ability to change someone appearance is boundless and irrelevent
and the reason the hulk isnt in there is because it was complete cg... not much makeup involved in computers :(
although the same could be said about the fawn i suppose.. but at least that was just some cg put onto a costume..

yea... it... SHOULD be coming out this year or maybe early next... the special effects are going to be like in pans labyrinth so a mix of puppetry/cg on top of the puppets to give them more realism...
the story i believe basically is:
gen(jen?) and kira end up reuniting the lands and become king and queen, a thousandish years later (some quite long time) they are getting old, peace is still in the land when a person comes to them from a whole basically world under their planet and asks for a shard of the dark crystal as its the only thing that can save their land, kira says no and the person ends up stealing it, launching the end of the world again (at least thats what i read long ago about it)
its got the daughter of jim henson as one of the heads of it and i believe brian froud doing all of the art again... same writers and everything

yea.. its produced by gervais and merchant.. they are all friends in real life.. but the famous people they have on it are hilarious as well (just like extras)
