you know.. with how old the earth is and how pretty much volcanic it is with such a thin crust the more i wonder how many times various civilizations have been wiped out millions and millions of years ago with no trace whatsoever because of it..

We actually find stuff in the crust millions of years old ... and that stuff isn't actually buried that deep. There is a lot of crust still under it with no traces of life. First 500 million years no life even no water. Unicellular life for the next 2.5 billions years. And only then more complex life forms. Animals as we know them are mostly from the last 500 million years. But hmm well I guess it's OK to think about stuff, and come up with some ideas. But I think I'll stay with the more conventional scientific ones for now.
