i tried high life a few weeks ago and it tasted like shit, i was conned by their marketing hyping the shit up more than a cod release

i also tried that jeremiah weed spiked cola, it was pretty good, tasted like a rum and coke

Has anyone tried that kraken spiced rum yet? Cant find it here. I went to their website and they sell shower curtains and perfume and doilies and shit (not kidding), but nothing about their FUCKING RUM!!

Fresca+Capt Morgan's Spiced = seemed like a good idea at the time
6 years ago
wow fresca havent seen that in awhile
I'm drinking Morgan right now.. tasty, I think the Fresca was what ruined it. Tequila for me though same thing. Blaargh!

ps - tequila is actually wonderful stuff...it is the perfect alcohol:
smells bad, tastes worse, and makes you wake up in strange places without violating any federal laws

Roland kraken is good MIXED, would not recommend doing shots or drinking straight. It has a really bad (good) burn

BEER LAWS 101
1 - If you cant see thru the bottle, dont drink it
2 - if it costs less than an equivalent amount of Snapple, dont drink it
3 - if neither? its fucking beer, go ahead and drink it

yup, I only drink dark beers and the cheapest I buy are yuengling (east coast baby) but those are for parties.

As long as I can get a handle of rum for $15 I think I might be alright
6 years ago
Drum, is it high end? How much for a fifth? If a booze maker can sell $70 dollar lamps (again I'm not kidding) their booze better be good. Shower curtain is $65.....?? WTF!!
It's not high end. I put it on par with Sailor Jerry. It just has a higher alcohol content. I think a fifth, here, is like $35

*Passes Possums beer bill on to the House with one revision."If you can't see through it, or if it has the words malt liquor printed around, upon, above, or below the label, or if you don't dig prepositions, or if a six pack costs less than a pack snickers and a pepsi, do not drink !

What is Sailor Jerry? Like knockoff Captain?
Dude captain morgan is shit rum imo. Sailor Jerry is much better. But it's kind of expensive. I mainly drink Largo Bay when it comes to rum. I recently tried Cruzan and didn't like it (reminded me of Cpt/parrot bay)

Wait, if you -can't- see through the bottle, don't drink it? Fuck you, I like dark beers. Even the light beers I drink come in dark bottles.
They sell shit like Lost Lake in a can for a reason, so you can't see the sediment stratifying in the bottom while you tip it.
Roland, solution: don't drink shit beer.
Drum, I'll give S. Jerry a shot. (or two).

Smerf, beer isn't supposed to be a main course.

Pint of Shock Top = beer.

Pint of Guinness = dinner.

for the unexperienced most beer bottles are dark because uv light ends up killing the taste and makes the beer go 'skunky' much faster, if you see beer bottles that are clear its generally that they are uv coated as to help prevent that (although it might only be sleemans that has that)

whats wrong with light colored beers? some of the best beers in the world are light colored, hooegarden for one, most whitbeers are light colored and most are quite awesome...

different beers go better for different times of the year, different foods, different occasions... for example if you are having a bbq in the summer you don't want to be drinking no fucking dark beer... disgusting... the only way to go would be a nice refreshing cold ale or lager, even some of the 'lite' beers like coors lite and shit are good in these situations even though i personally dislike most domestic beer..

as far as sailor jerry, its ok... but if you are a hardcore rum drinker you drink lambs navy rum... straight from the bottle :P

if you care about one rum having more alcohol content than another... you are a kid who has no experience drinking whatsoever and end up crying on mucho chat when you are drunk... fact

btw.. 'sediment' means literally nothing.. and LOT of beers are in bottle fermentation, which means they get better with age in the bottle (or can) no domestic beer is going to have 'sediment' in it tho, none of them are in bottle fermentation (basically thats the biproducts of the fermentation)
cans in almost every situation (except for very expensive bottles of beer) are better because of how much easier it is to keep out light... no matter what color of glass or how much uv coating you use, light still creeps into bottles even while in cases...
don't believe me? try a bottle of heiniken, and then get a can of it, and then go to a bar with it on tap... the bottle tastes like skunk juice... the can tastes about 400x better and the draft tastes about 2x as good as the can..
if you want to do another experiment as to beer taste and quality, drink a bottle of beer that is super cold, and then drink it at room temperature, with most cheap beers youll notice they taste 100% different (some even taste like corn and shit) than when they are cold, thats to do with all of the extra ingredients they add to beer that is masked by the temperature... same reason why cheap saki is always drank hot its how the tastes work to mask the shitty quality of it

I know about the light thing, and was just using the sediment crack as to akin Lost Lake beer to sewage. Many decent bottled beers I enjoy have shit in the bottom and you're supposed to tip the beer before pouring out or drinking to mix in the good bits. Never liked Heineken but only tried it bottled. Next time I go to the bar I'll order a bottle and a pint and test your theory in a side by side comparison.

Never heard of lambs navy. *Goes shopping.

i actually buy those heini minikegs every once and awhile.. they arent the greatest value or anything but they taste not too bad if you let them sit in the fridge for a couple days after bringing them home... and make sure you have a paper towel under the nozel cuz they drip.. but its good for i think.. 9 pints? something like that
