Hi, I'll be the translator seeing's how Lowieken doesn't speak English.

Lowie, in this context, brake (spelled B-R-A-K-E) means to hit the brakes, as in, slow down. Trains take a very long time to come to a full stop, which is what possum was saying.

Your inferior brain was probably thinking of B-R-E-A-K, meaning to demolish something, much like this train did to the semi.

No I didn't ... In order to brake or stop the train you can try to have another train to smash in the other one. Most of the time it stops both trains. We had a few of those in the last 10 years ...

using a train to brake a train will usually result in both trains breaking

They actually tell us not to shoot the brakes if you're gonna hit anything. If you're close enough to think you're going to hit something you will any way. If you shoot 'em there is the chance for a derailment, thus causing a whole lot more damage.

...that and the fact we really don't give a shit.

Yea, I saw a bottle car train full of molten steel slosh around a bit after the engineer (no conductors in mills) rammed the brakes to avoid hitting a truck. He missed, but there was "collateral damage"
