I probably should watch this movie
yeah, you should, it's one of the best movies of the 90's.
You have never seen Silence of the Lambs? wtf is wrong with you?
It was made when i was 2 years old
what's your point?
I've seen it maybe 4 or 5 times drum.
btw Red Dragon is way underrated.
So was Hannibal
hannibal fucking sucked, and so did red dragon.

the first red dragon movie by michael mann was decent though. i believe it was called "manhunt" or "manhunter" or something like that.
philip seymour hoffman, raplh finnes, anthony hopkins and edward norton couldn't make a bad movie if they tried.
So was Manhunter, if you count it as part of the series.
Goddammit, should have refreshed.
edward norton regularly does
Edward has a lot of great fucking movies.. all actors have their shit too.
and Manhunter pwnd red dragon. Brian Cox made a much better lecter
6 years ago
norton is an overated twat

American History X?
that's thick.. primal fear, 25th hour, american history x, rounders, death to smoochy
6 years ago
Cheeky, you're clearly a fool. Norton is one of the best. He's no Depp, but he's up there.
well it's on netflix instant queue so I'm going to watch the shit out of this movie
6 years ago
johnny depp hasn't made a good movie in almost 20 years...

well, i liked the first 3 pirates movies, but not because of him, he's been doing the same shtick ever since edward scissorhands now.
i do like eddie norton though. he's no macaulay culkin, but he's up there...
Depp became Tim Burmatized.
fucking tim burma!!
american history x was average....all the others? Pure and utter meh
6 years ago
Dickheads. The end.
Death to Smoochy? Pure and utter shit.

Love a bit of Q Lazarus.
Did Levine get an Oscar for this? If not, he fucking should have.
uhm, didn't actually hopkins win supporting that year for his portrayal of lecter?
I thought he got best actor
yea i think he did
yeah, you're right, supporting that year was jack palance for city slickers, also highly deserved.
So I watched this movie today and it was a real snooze fest
6 years ago
dude??? what?? did you actually "watch it" watch it, or was it just playing in another window while you were playing minecraft and browsing the web in search for dreck to post on mucho?
I 'watched' it but I was still in irc. It somewhat kept my attention
6 years ago
i've never met anyone who found it boring..
kids these days.....

THAT'S NOT HOW YOU WATCH LAMBS!!

next time put it on a big tv at night in a darkened room, pop some popcorn, get a brew and pay attention to the fucking movie!

fucking "mind in two places" bullshit, i blame smart phones and ritalin......
You weren't kidding about the getting old stuff huh?
i never kid
I mean like I guess I just wasn't really into a movie watching mood. I will give it another shot but it was just meh. 3/5
6 years ago
3/5 ???

*speechless*
Wait. Let me guess, Drums. Your favorite horror movie is "The Ring".
The ring was terrible. I'm not really a fan of horror and most of the movies that have come out in the last 15 years or so are mostly of the gore/slasher variety. "The Gate" was pretty awesome. I also enjoyed "Dead Alive"
thats not true at all... most of the 'big name' horrors have been goreporn.. but thats because of tards who like movies like saw and hostel or other shitty movies from the goreporn genre apparently must pay to watch the things and the makers of those shit shows keep making more...
some of the best horror movies EVER have came out in the past few years actually...
rec, let the right one in, martyrs, the orphanage, splinter, frozen, trick r treat, house of the devil... just to name a few and none of those are 'slasher' movies or goreporn (martyrs is close, but its way too well done to be grouped with the shit like saw where its gore for the sake of gore)
those movies run the range of 'classic' tribute horrors (house of the devil) to joined story 'fun' horror ala creepshow in trick r treat to awesome suspense horror in frozen
6 years ago
Well I need to watch those then. I like a good horror, but I hate gore for gore's sake. I can see all the gore I want on the internet (which is not much cause it's meh) but when I watch a horror I want to be creeped the fuck out and scared shitless.

if you look at shit like that you'll see what i mean.... 90% of the things people think are 'good horror' are crap so the genre is flooded with shit and you have people saying OMG SAW IS GREAT!
well .... as far as best pure classic horror its house of the devil... but not everyone will agree with me (looking at twobit)
its classic 70s horror, done to pay tribute to that type of horror.. where its suspense to build up to a finale
if you like dead alive you'll probably like trick r treat... but then again if you like dead alive why wouldnt you watch stuff like house and evil dead and such?

I watched one saw movie through and it was saw V I think. Boring as shit. Watched 'The Omen' remake on 06 06 06 and that was no where near as good as the original. The kid wasn't nearly as creepy. Hills have eyes was decent and didn't watch the first hostel but did see the second and the hostel 2 was bad. I liked the scene when she cut the guys dick off, however, cause that's how I felt after watching that shit.

I love exploitation films and there have been some really good ones as of late. Black Dynamite being an awesome example. Death proof was good for the last 30 min and Planet Terror was awesome. I liked Machete also.
i liked devils rejects and that other rob zombie movie
6 years ago
you did not like those piece of crap movies really seagull?
the original omen was good.. the original hills have eyes was also good
if you like movies that are throwback grindhouse type movies watch hobo with a shotgun
6 years ago
house of a 1000 corpses i believe its called, right?
yes house of 1000 corpses
well, 1000 corpses was mediocre but devils rejects i enjoyed very much, that freebird ending sequence alone is sooo fucking epic, and they really only work if you've seen em both.
i also enjoyed zombies halloween remake, sure it doesnt hold a candle to the original but the visuals and the idea of telling the story of mike myers childhood story was a nice approach, zombie is a good visual director but a shitty storyteller...
thats because his movies are like long music videos
6 years ago
thats very true!
You know what was a piece of shit movie "See No Evil"
Island of the Living Dead (1979), my favorite horror film.
Vampire's Kiss
oh favorite horror ever?
obviously scream
SIKE
The original "Don't be Afraid of the Dark" always got me. I think they're re-making it. -Oh, and "Trilogy of Terror" with the Karen Black thingey. Little things creep me the fuck out.

*recoils from Bono

Scariest movie I ever saw? Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Fries' sex tape was a close second.
was it the one with the one legged granny or the one with the black guy?
I've re-watched The Silence of the Lambs a dozen times and I discover new things in it and make new connections every time I do.

Fuck all that middle-thread about gore-porn and whatever.
When I'm playing GTA4 and this song comes on I always think of this movie when running red lights.
thanks for sharing that
