I might read it. It's probably full of republican nonsense but it might be worth it for the half they get right.

I've got an example that many of you can associate with. In several states, there is some form of legalization of marijuana. However, the federal government stands against this. Shouldn't a state, and even more importantly, an individual have the right and freedom to decide if a specific plant is destructive to himself?

The idea was supposed to be that the states could set their own laws and the constitution was the agreement that the federal government wouldn't interfere. So a state could put in drug laws or gun control or ban abortion or whatever. If people didn't like it, they would move to a different state. With the variety of states it would become pretty obvious which ones were making smart choices and attracting the best people.

It still works even now, as you'll see Montana stand out as the state with arguably the most freedom and lack of regulation, while they also maintain low taxes, low unemployment, and aren't plagued with bank failures. Look at a map of crime, unemployment, poverty, poor health, etc, and you'll find Montana and other like-minded states stand out as not being shitholes while the socialist states show up as fucking cesspools.
