Don't worry Brits. This will get blamed on some redneck Texan soon enough.

probly some guy shooting a rocket launcher off a beach

or trying to snipe whales
Why would Brits need to worry?

The responsibility of what happened to that rig falls on Transocean. As anyone with the most basic of knowledge would see.
It is a fucking mess though, & BP need to get the oil cleared pronto.
Anyone with basic knowledge would see that BP owns the rig and the lease on the drilling site.
BP is 100 % responsible
but really you can't write a cheque to a pelican so what does it mater?
"cheque" Hahahaha!
BP don't own the rig at all, where the fuck do you get your information, Kirk?
oranje BP has already publicly accepted full responsibility
7 years ago
See and you blamed me dik.
Almost dik, but not quite right.

"We are not responsible for the accident, but we are responsible for the oil & for dealing with it" - Tony Hayward, BP's Cheif Executive .

As I said earlier, the rig was owned by Transocean, who are responsible for the accident.
ya irish i don't know why the fuck it's spelled like that here..it irritates me also
7 years ago
Oranje, just because that was not BP "equipment", it was on their site, which they own. Therefore it is a BP situation entirely. Transocean is nothing but a contractor. Which means they follow BP rules and procedures. Learn something about common business law and practices before spouting off.
I'm not the one here who needs to learn anything.

There isn't a single thing which I have said which isn't 100% accurate.

It was Transoceans rig, but BP will be cleaning up the mess. That is what they said, I said & what happening/is happening.

JamesTKirk 38 minutes ago says:

Anyone with basic knowledge would see that BP owns the rig and the lease on the drilling site.

BP do not own the rig, you're wrong.
Awww, so i typed one thing wrong and you are so butthurt. If you knew anything about subcontracting the parent contractee is ultimately responsible. Any underlying damages to the subcontractor are the responsibility of BP to go after.
Grow up, Kirk. Saying things like "you are so butthurt" during a disagreement is simply pathetic. There is no "buttshurt" issue, you were simply wrong.

I am a subcontactor & have had various types of contracts. My friend is a surveyor & says the harding thing about his job is the contracts & accountability for overspends etc as he works in construction.

Don't try & act like an authority on subcontracting as you nor I have seen the contact between BP & Transocean. I have however, seen that BP are planning on sueing Transocean.
You are butthurt every time something regarding Brits comes up. This is a prime example. Free the Falklands.
This is what it is about now?

You have been proven wrong so you're going to change the subject?

Just deal with it Kirk, have some self respect.
theyr all faggots anyway
so long wetlands
I didnt have anything else to say? I made my statement. BP is and will be responsible. You keep going on about who is wrong about a simple statement to which I already corrected myself. You never really seem to read that, do you?

You don't seem capable of dealing with the fact that you started this with: "The responsibility of what happened to that rig falls on Transocean. As anyone with the most basic of knowledge would see."

Gee, you seem awfully dismissal of BPs responsibility at that point in the conversation until dik mentioned it.

So, STFU and have some self respect of your own.
Review what I have said. BP are taking responsibility for the cleanup & what happened, it doesn't mean that they were responsible for the accident. Transocean were responsible, but it's a cynical PR move by BP as they don't have the best reputation in the US, do they?

All this "you're butthurt", "free the falklands" stuff is so childish.

I don't have any love for BP, fuck them. I just know that Transocean owned the rig & were responsible for what happened.

Look at my secong comment: "It is a fucking mess though, & BP need to get the oil cleared pronto."

"Gee, you seem awfully dismissal of BPs responsibility at that point in the conversation until dik mentioned it."

Strang that, as I said BP need to clean it up.

You seem to be getting riled up about this, but youre interpreting what I've said in your own way. You don't seem to have read what I have said as your accusations contradict what I said.
Nope, not riled at all. But whatever. You ought to learn what sarcasm is when things like "Free the Falklands", etc are said. I'll have a tea at lunch, will that make it better?
and dont brush your teeth...for a year

BP refusing to take responsibility would have caused outrage in the US as they have already had a spate of industrial accidents. Like the refinery in Texas which killed, if I remember correctly, 14/15 people.

I know what happened & I know why they are taking responsibility. I work in PR, Krik, I know how this shit works better than anyone else on here. I'm not trying to be patronising here, although I know it looks that way. I've written press releases before & know how the technicalitiea matter. I'm not just trying to argue with you about this or anything.
I'm glad the 14/15 people died. They were fucking assholes anyway.
Canada are guilty of far worse crimes than this
7 years ago
Proper crimes against humanity
Canada are NOT!!
Did I say BP was refusing to take responsibility?

Yes, it does look like you are patronizing. So I'll trump your patronizing with my own 20 years of professional experience (8 of which were industrial) to your, what maybe 5 years, and say the whole thing blows no matter what and BP will be the ultimate scapegoat.

PS: How is that for a nice long run-on sentence?
