Yeah, not really.

This video is playing double time and the audio is playing regularly; but for some reason I think it's funnier this way.

Has anyone read "The Condition of Postmodernity: An Enquiry into the Origins of Cultural Change"? I'm considering buying it after I'm done reading "Atlas Shrugged"--a suggestion by jamie, I believe. Though I still have like 8 books I bought and have not read yet.

he's not a fag, he's just an objectivist

Objectivism, in short, is the idea that what you work for is yours to do with as you see fit. Makes sense to me.

Being a fag means you talk with an adopted lisp, and find your identity in where you like to put your dick.

Easy to see where you found the correlation..

I don't know that reading Atlas makes someone an Objectivist automatically. It has that effect if you're intellectually honest though.

Damn, my reply didn't go through last time.
Anyways, Objectivism is more than just doing what you want with what you earn. A large part of it can be summed up in her other book (which I actually bought) "The Virtue of Selfishness." Basically, any alms given to the poor or "less fortunate" is an act of evil because it prevents an individual from obtaining a sense of autonomy. Responsibility over the self is a very important part of Objectivism, if not the most. Rand is a undoubtedly a great writer, but there are a lot of things in her philosophy I disagree with. But like almost every philosophy, there are points that can't be denied.
Anyways, back to my original question: has anyone ever read "The Condition of Postmodernity"?

Rand was evil!

While I really like atlas shrugged, I really have to question the skill of a writer who spends 1000 pages stating her philosophy and then still feels the need to re-state everything in an 80 page rant at the end of the book. If a reader didn't get what you were saying in the first 920 pages, Galt's 80 diatribe wasn't going to help.

“If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough”. Albert Einstein

Fuck Rand!

I'm really not sure if Oranje is being serious or not. Thought he was at first, but I am not sure anymore.

I'm glad people are speaking out. I don't know when it happened, but something like five years ago it became incredibly cool to act like you don't give a shit about anything. That's a winning philosophy if you're determined to become a gas station attendant (which 90% of Mucho is) but not a winning philosophy if you want to make something of this incredibly short thing we call life.
