That happened to me on my birthday once. I was about 13 and was riding my bike without a helmet down a rocky hill. I fell and cut my head on some rocks. Didn't lose as much blood though.
The whole "I lost X amount of blood thing is bullshit. There is no absolute way to figure it out. They always give you spectrum and people choose the worst when they tell the story.
