LOL, more lib propaganda. Man I love libs. They never know what's going on until someone else tells them, or what to think unless you tell them what to think. A more perfect sheople there'll never be.
Okay, so the auto industry isn't in trouble, and the federeal government isn't bailing them out. Got it.

lib propaganda? a cutting jibe, coming from what must be a 14-year-old faggot who considers daddy's cock to be the paragon of all that is mouthworthy. i just wish one of these suckers of satan's greasy cock would explain to me why it makes sense and is consistent to privatize profit socialize losses. spit out daddy's cock and grow up.

If we don't buy their shitty cars, how come GM is 1st, Ford 3rd and Chrysler 4th?

Anyway, even Toyota and Honda will post losses this year, even though the Japanese governement gives them everything they can to steal marketshare, and make Americans lose their jobs. But oh yeah.. keep buying foreign, one day it'll be your job.
All of them will post losses this year.
Because when you buy a Toyota, or a Honda, or Nissan etc... $4000. of the sticker price doesn't go to pay some retired fucker that made 60+ dollars an hour, mounting fenders on Impalas. Fuck Unions.
Because when you buy a Toyota, or a Honda, or Nissan etc... $4000. of the sticker price doesn't go to pay some machine that costed a few bucks a day to operate, mounting fenders on Impalas. Fuck Profit.
Fixed

BTW toyota, honda, nissan and subaru mabe be foreightn owned but atleast they have plants and manufacturing facilities here in the us employing american workers. and i can bet you alot the parts used by gm,ford and the others are made in japan, china and mexico. hell most the frames used in us auto production are made in mexico. do your research before ya try to talk smack ..lol
9 years ago
fuck unions when that money does'nt go to pay a retired guy? i guess he should have invested in 401k and pensions since most unions have both. I agree with hisa. it's all profit.
and drago, that is very true. people say "fuck made in china" but they don't realize made in china shit is usually designed by american companies with parts supplied from america. Also alot of parts have been starting to be made in mexico since the 70's thirty years under most peoples noses and they still don't see it.
"fuck unions". said the gay bastard who doesn't mind getting fucked out of cost-of-living increases.
If you're not fucking useless, you can make a decent wage without a union. If you are, you don't deserve a decent wage or the protection of pussy labor law that says you can strike and not be replaced.
You would think they would have stepped up and at least picked a picture of a car that has been in production for the last 4 years.
They still make the Ford Freestar, Jim. It's just that it hasn't changed on 5 years.
*in
1. this is the Windstar
2. The freestar has been out of production since 2006

The Ford Flex more or less replaces it, and its fit/finish is of much better quality than what you would find in a Honda or Toyota.
1. Here is the link I found that reviews the 2009 Freestar:http://www.allautoreviews.com/auto_reviews/ford/ford-freestar.htm
2. stop doing the 1,2 thing.
3. I actually think you're right, because autoblog.com says it's out of production.
4. Bite me
All your american cars are shit. The only one i'd buy is the 300c tourer cos they look pimp as fuck.
Nobody asked you
As i now have a Mucho comment count of over 10K it gives me the right to comment where and how i like
9 years ago
Mako, sorry buddy, it's been out of production for quite a while.
Fries, name one British nameplate that isn't foreign owned. Oh, and one that produces more than 10000 cars a year. You know nothing of any American cars, dumbass.
fries you are British? DAMN! the brits make the worst cars ever next to the Russians. Actually, the British hold the record for more bad cars than Russia.
I'll give credit to England inventing the first battle tank in world war 1 though...
Ford maybe. I have to admit that we used to make some good cars here in the UK. now we are just fucked , thats why i mainly repair and sell French cars.
I drove a Citroen from San Remo France to Florence Italy a few years ago. It was an alright car. It was a little diesel model and was pretty peppy.
Ford UK (especially the Focus) and Vauxhall (GM-Opel)are now very good cars. They are reliable, economical and they handle well. The new Focus RS when it comes out, will be a winner.
yeah.. if only it was 25MILLION like the description says...

My bad.
the idea of government bailing out CAR companies and BANKS just makes me confused
why not bail out all the video game companies while you are at it that are losing money... makes as much sense...

Amen
It's because far more people are employed by the auto industry, yak. We have a plant near here that makes transmissions and transfer cases for cars and trucks, and just about everyone I know that works there has been laid off.
and because they only employee union workers at auto plants and god forbid we let the unions die
9 years ago
sure drum... let the unions go... i mean who needs a good paying job anyway?
Unions aren't bad just the people who run them
9 years ago
unions in THEORY aren't bad, because it gives more power to the people... however in REALITY there aren't many unions that are "good" anymore...

and yeah mako i know that there are a lot of people employed in the auto industry.. thats exactly why its such bullshit in the first place... if they didn't employ that many people and didn't have union employees that made what.. 40$+/hour in some cases maybe they could make things that are more affordable to people so in turn fucking sell something to make a profit ;/

High school dropouts that dust off hubcaps get only $30/hr now instead of $70. I feel bad for them, I really do.
i'm in a union and they don't do shit for us... matter of fact because the union made a sneaky deal with the company and didn't make it known to us..we signed a contract this year and were raped of at least 5000 a year in overtime..overtime that we still work but get paid less for
9 years ago
hahahah
laugh it up huffy..i still make more than you can ever hope for
9 years ago
elchris , you bastard , lol .
Sorry .
Overtime is for pussys.
thats funny actually cos dik spends most of his time on here , so when does he make all this money
9 years ago
i work at night..like a prostitute but unionized
9 years ago
^overpaid hooker.
yak from what I've seen is that for each employee in the aoutmakers union the company had to pay out a minimum of $70 something in wages and benefits per person. That's what's wrong with the auto-industry and why american cars are so much more expensive
9 years ago
what are you teamsters dik?
I wish the government would bail me out, it's strange that they'll give billions to industry, but won't give me a 10K loan so easily.
i could just use 50 American dollars til next payday...
i guess i could sell Fuzzy and Kitty Boy to the tex/mex joint down the street though
9 years ago
What I find annoying is the fact that the banks will write off millions in third world debt, but chase me to the end of the Earth for £300. I'm sure it would be better for them to get the big debts back, and let the little ones slide.
Perhaps if you dumbass americans could actually learn to build small econmical cars then you might not be in this trouble. It happened to you in the 70's and yet you still havent learnt....
you can´t even afford a new car.....
who cant ?
Ok, here's the story without the bullshit:

"Wouldn't buy our shitty cars" huh? Then how come the big three had the three top selling vehicles on the planet up until this year? They had sales, they still have sales. That's not the problem.

The big three have been around a fuck of a lot longer than companies like Toyota and Honda. In that time, the UAW has gained a stupid amount of power over them. Someone working the assembly line at the Chrysler plant in detriot pulls in 80k base salary (over 100k with overtime) after 3 years. Union workers get a health plan for themselves and their families that isn't fucking cheap. In addition, the big three are supporting over half a million fucking retired fogies... which is more than twice the number of productive workers they actually employ. That's another problem with being a union shop for decades. The expenses of union health care and supporting the pensioners is huge, and added to the increased labor cost, it means the big three looses 2-3k on every car it sells. A company like Toyota, which pays a salary of about 50-60% what the big three pay, and hasn't built up the huge army of pensioners, can make about 1-2k on each car.

Large cars have a higher markup and these are actually profitable for the big three. This is why they had to build these vehicles. "Oh those stupid american companies didn't make small cars like people wanted so now they're in trouble. I'm so smart." No dickheads, they can't make small cars and sell them at a competitive price without losing money even faster. It's not a fucking option.

The unions wouldn't agree to take cuts that would put them in line with the foreign (profitable) companies, which killed the first bailout attempt, and for good reason. How the fuck are they going to be profitable then? How are they going to pay back the money while they are loosing more? The Unions are hoping "too-big-to-fail" kicks in and they can keep pulling in huge wages while the taxpayer foots the bill. The bailout is just going to turn the US into fucking Ireland, paying Delorean to keep jobs in the country even if it costs more than just paying welfare.

The best idea out there is bankruptcy, which will save the companies and destroy the union. As long as the union is there, the big three won't turn a profit.
People in nations unlike the US, that do have some minimal moral standards DO NOT always put profit in front of social welfare... On the other hand, sorry for being so harsh, after all you do live in a country run by Jews.
El , I do agree with you to a point , to boil it down and say the union is the complete cause of the problems , I do not . Bankruptcy , I do not agree with that as being the final fix . I think the gov. should supply the loan to help them , provided the cuts start at the top . Sell the corporate jets , cut the salaries at the top and corporate expense accounts , perks etc. If this is followed to strict guidelines make the loan . Don't hurt the workers in the factory that does the real work .
css , to blame the jewish people as the source of the worlds problems , reminiscent of a little guy with a funny moustache years ago , and how did that work out for him ? In short , css , fuck off and die . O , and I am not sorry for being so harsh .
80k after 3 years sounds pretty good.
That will never work, ALT, sheer logic and common sense dictates that the easiest big savings can be made at the top, but those at the top won't let it happen. They would rather see the workers suffer than lose their over the top perks and bonuses.
I have heard that the difference between the highest paid worker and the lowest paid worker in the average Japanese corporation is much smaller than in America. The huge gap between rich and poor is yet another one of America's problems.

Oh yeah, fuck you Wanko.
MrFugs , I briefly read the plan of the gov., I know it may change before final plan , but if I understood a gov. tsar will be overseeing it all , if the ceo's don't follow the guidelines , pull the loan and let them file bankruptsy . Logical or not , it may work .
Hank , the gap widens , is there a revolution brewing here ? , possible .
Maybe, but not a successful one, because America uses the same tactic England used to keep it's colonies in line, divide and conquer. The rich elite in America will hire one part of the population to beat down the other part.
Actually Wanko is right about on. Nicely written.
Hank is on to something there, and if I liked to type I woulda said what Wanko did, but I don't, so I didn't.
Wanko, you're a fuckin douche bag, but you're abso-fuckin right on this one. +1 For Team wanko. I say let the companies go bankrupt. Fuck the unions...what will happen is competition and the end result of better vehicles at lower costs. There won't be huge job losses, just a cut in wages for dumbass factory workers.
Yeah the top of the company blows money like hank blows diseased japanese men, but it's not the deciding factor. They are wasting millions, not billions. Cut out the jets and management shit and all and the big three will still be loosing nearly as much on each car.

Css you faggy dickrubber, I guess "social welfare" means you spend the tax dollars of some poor sap making $11/hr with no benefits at his unskilled assembly job, to pay the wages of some dude making 6 figures at his unskilled assembly job. And do it just because the second guy happened to land a union gig and his wages make the company unprofitable?

Ford isn't one of the companies involved in the gov lending...

Electric cars are bullshit but it's not going to stop Obama from trying to make them sound like they will save the world. They will replace the housing bubble with a bullshit bubble. Most likely an environmentalism/alternative energy bubble. People who don't understand physics will think it's fucking great and people who do will invest in the companies and keep their mouths shut.
