it's no different in the US. mcdonald's employees are in "manufacturing" and all the other definitions change to suit their needs. i'm sure the current, real unemployment rate is far above what they admit.

actually they (not the US... actually i'm not sure who "they" are) do skew IQ scores so that "average" is always 100 points. so today's 100 IQ may differ from that of 50 years ago.
