This is one of the best videos I've ever seen.

This video is pure genius!

Hell, it's the best 9/11 vid, I have seen. I have seen a couple similar videos involving ethnic cleansing in the Balkans and Africa that had better sex scenes though.

I'm bookmarking this shit.

This might have been o.k. if it was played backwards.

If I was American and a patriot of any sort I'd be pretty outraged right about now
10 years ago
Thanks for the suggestion... what, they don't have freedom of expression in your country?
Outraged? why... Americans are more entertained by porn than concerned that the entire Military Defense Systems did completely nothing for them that day... Americans don't really care about 9/11, they just liked spending $4.99 on a flag to put on their cars from the 12th to the 15th of that September acting like they cared... That's how much they are outraged.
fair enough. I guess Americans living in the USA have a different view of events in their own backyard to Americans that live here in the UK. Every Yank I have met over here has been very sensitive about 9/11. Maybe they just want to be recognised as a patriot in a foreign land.
Yeah, OC is right, the Military should have shot down all those passenger liners. Instead of buying flags and watching porn the common citizen should be uh, uh, chasing Japanese whaling ships.
I don't disagree that the events of that day were handled wrongly, I just assumed that given the events of 7/7 in London, a far smaller scale attack than 9/11, and seeing the way the British public reacted to that, I would have thought that the Americans who are portrayed as being so patriotic on occasions such as Independance Day would have been very sensitive about the issue. But I'm assuming OC is an American, and witnessed it first-hand. I can't say because I've never been there myself, but maybe in America buying little flags to put on your cars is patriotism
10 years ago
At least as much as burning a flag is an act of defiance.

What does outrage accomplish? OC seems outraged that others are not. Make adjustments let it go and move on.
Dont let trash like this get you going.

I tend to feel a little more outrage at our government and some of my fellow citizens who have used this tragic event to cercumvent our constitution and judicial laws, reep record profits, squander BILLIONS of dollars unchecked in a foreign land, find it ok to be rascist against "those people", or just generaly bury their heads in the proverbial sand when it comes to these issues and our history of meddling in international politics with little or no regard for the will of those peoples who it effects. I am an American by birth but I am a human first. Blind patriotism is always one of the first steps toward social acceptance of fascism and dictatorships which will only lead to social/economic collapse. This video, however obscure, is making a very good point in that we divide ourselves culturaly through sports as an outlet for our pent up, underlying violent natures. We turn to sex as relief but end up bringing our own lack of respect for ourselves and hence, others into the equation. Its like the old DK song.... sex and violence. Not to say that either is wrong, just saying it's our nature to want to feel like winners. Am I outraged that someone is expressing themselves and shocking others at the same time? Isn't that what good art is supposed to accomplish?
Good points, but outrage only adds to your stress and shortens your life. If you want to feel like a winner, dont feel like a setback makes you a loser. Oh and people like to watch golf is a sport too, that violence thing is something psychologists came up with to keep their jobs. Lack of respect through sex? I'll never figure that one out. If it feels good you lack respect for yourself? No more than a back massage is. I didnt read so much into this....art? No more so than a KKK video. But I respect your thoughts Bugs. At least your not an ant as Planty would say.

I'm more outraged that neurotic little anti-American cunts are allowed to live.
BenofBodom, don't judge the overwhelming number of American's sentiments by what you see posted by a handful of teenagers whose most courageous act in their lives is anonymously posting outrageous comments on a blog.
Hey for a start I'm not trying to provoke any Anti-American sentiments, nor do I have any, and I'm smart enough to realise that no matter what is posted on messageboards or on a thread here, every American would have been shocked by 9/11. Hence my original comment, where I implyed that this video was making light of a situation which a lot of people were affected by. But in the end that's why we're on Mucho, to see stuff that many people would find distasteful

So what do you suggest Claude... we round up all those that dont agree with the policy makers and industrialist and send them to concentration camps? THAT is as un-American as it gets. I think the majority of "anti-Americans" are a little more frustrated with our recent past and the trends of dismantling the constitution than the actual country itself. I love this country and am willing to die for what it stands for(or at least what it used to stand for). Freedom from oppression, freedom of speech(even when you dont agree), freedom to worship as you please, the oppurtunity climb as high as you are willing to go, and equality(!!!!) for all who do the right thing. 2/3rds of the billionaires in the world are here in America and a vast majority of those are self made. That makes me proud. However, turning our back on the rest of the world that doesn't agree with our "new ideoligies" is just plain wrong... especially when those same ideoligies are WRONG and NOT WORKING for the majority and benifit only a select few. And all this because extremists on BOTH sides are just to blinded by their quest for power and their own self-serving natures. I think the numbers speak for themselves... 71-78% of Americans dont agree with the course "we" are on. Our European counterparts fear "US" more than Iran and N.Korea combined. There is LESS stability in the mid-east region than before all this happened. And Im still paying $3 a gallon for gas while oil companies rake in record profits.....meanwhile my 6 year-old niece has to bring her own school supplies because the district is in dire straights financialy... whats wrong with this picture? 71 billion dollars is alot of money to invest in a sand box! So ask yourself... what do we really stand to gain from all this and when is this "victory" going to manifest itself?

sorry these are a little long winded... but this is a pivitol time in WORLD history right now and noone can afford to not have an opinion. Wake up!

Not long winded; you made very valid points.

before you cry about your fucking gas prices go to europe..
i'll throw out some figures for you
Amsterdam $6.48/gallon
Copenhagen $5.93/gallon

perhaps its time to move to Venezuela...
Caracas $0.12/gallon

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) – Gasoline prices in the United States, which have recently hit record highs, are actually much lower than in many countries. Drivers in some European cities, like Amsterdam and Oslo, are paying nearly 3 times more than those in the U.S.

people in europe don't fear the us, they hate the us :P
10 years ago
Thanks. I do feel like Im screaming at a wall sometimes though. 8 D
10 years ago
yak.... thats all true but most Europeans dont drive as much or as far as we N.Americans do. Far from crying about it.. just angry at the exhorbinant profits. I personally drive almost 40 miles a day just to work and back. We use more therefore it should be cheaper. I wonder what it is in China?
... and I dont blame em. I kinda hate me sometimes too! 8 P

You complain she has to buy her own school supplies because the district is broke, but if we don't do something about the oil then the already broke school district sure as fuck won't be able to fill up the tank on the busses. I've said it before I'll say it again this country is the best. We do what we want because we can. The rich and powerful stay that way because as you said they are self made and they will fight to make sure they stay that way. Just like we should fight to keep our way of life the way we are used to. Fuck Amsterdam and their 6.48 a gallon, you can walk across it in a day, lazy bastards don't need gas anyway. Might makes right the ends justify the means if we gotta fight to keep oil coming then so be it. I like driving and I need gas to do it. You want an omlet you gotta break some eggs.
Good points. I too enjoy plumbing and fully stocked grocery stores. I guess my point is that we need to look at the future a little more realisticly. Oil will not last forever and is bad on the environment, so why not invest now to find alternatives instead of investing in a limited resource. And the school busses in her district run on CNG. Might does not make right... it only makes you think you are right!

I'm an American living in Japan and I wasn't outraged by 9/11. I wasn't even angered, or even miffed, not even a little bit.

It was like watching a movie.
keep your ass in Japan. To bad you weren't up there entertaining me. I would have loved to see jump..but you would be to scared to jump. Thats probably why you moved to japan, because you are scared.

This would be great to seal in a time capsule for 5000 years and let the people of the future try to figure it out.

THAT is a great idea... unfortunately history is written by the winners.

Sean Penn hired a camera crew to film him floating around New Orleans holding a firearm, being dirty, and looking heroic (in a John McClane sorta way). Really, ask yourself, what CAN'T we learn from celebrities?

Yeah, Rosie O'Donnel said so too. I guess that's why they're in Hollywood.

The idea behind this stuff is to get people outraged. Why buy into it? Look at the Apache Attack videos and bust a nut if it helps.
You dont keep a video of a game your team loses, being outraged doesnt do anything, payback does.
Seems that these videos impact folks who are disapointed that America has moved on more than americans themselves. But good luck with your anti-american rhetoric. It seems to help you feel good more than to outrage americans.
