Time Bandits...one of his better ones. Never did get into 12 Monkeys.

I like Brazil and 12 Monkeys more but this one is great as well.
Have to disagree with Brazil. Definitely one of the worst movies I have ever seen. 12 Monkeys was good though.
I thought 12 monkeys was excellent
so was fear and loathing
so was the Fisher King. Come to think of it Terry Gilliam is awesome
10 years ago
who?
Terry Gilliam vic.. He's a movie director. Years ago he was the only american member of Monty Python the english comedy troupe.
i don't remember him from any of the monty python movies?
well he was in all of them and the tv show. he directed some of the movies too... He was Patsy in the holy grail..who followed Arthur around banging coconuts together
10 years ago
he did all the animation too

I don't think he's actually made a bad movie. The Baron Van Munchausen was close to one and the Brothers Grimm wasn't fucking brilliant but compared to a number of directors he is a genius. Granted I haven't seen Tideland and that might be a pile of poo.

hasn't he just done stardust too?
he is a good director
i'll get my coat. he didn't do stardust at all. i'm just getting confused
10 years ago
wtf.. adventures of baron munchausen was an awesome movie... wtf are you talking about...

Not his best work Yak. Compared to the Fisher King, 12 Monkeys or Brazil it just comes off second best. It was a mess. A big fucking glorious one but a mess none the less.

Dik, the one who followed Arthur was Concorde.
But, you know what? All I want to do is...Sing!
Brazil was too off the wall for me, but all the rest is gold.
hahaha the baron von munchhausen.. i forgot about that one. i used to read the stories too, really cool. the film was ok, don't remember much of it.
what's brazil about then?
and dik, where was he(gilliam) in the meaning of life? or life of brian?
In Life of Brian I think he was one of the prophets (the blood and thunder one), one of the jailers, and a member of the Peoples Front Of Judea.

In the Meaning of Life I remember him as a fish and a zulu announcer. I'm sure he was a couple of the other things but I can't remember what.
so no real big parts hmm? that's probably why i don't remember him.
I don't know if you'll see this Yak but there is some news about Gilliam on Empires web site:

No Vic. No big parts. Mainly because he'd fallen out with a couple of them when Life of Brian was made and he was making his own stuff when Meaning of Life was made. He also directed the Secret Tournament adverts for Nike a couple of years ago (the ones set on an oil tanker with Eric Cantona).

for all you people that mark FIRST in this slot, SHUT THE HELL UP.
thanks

You know, this is almost as moronic as posting "first"
agreed
Who says first in the second post anyways?
you do.
oh snap, you got me.

One of the coolest movies I remember from back in the day. Midgets, giants, and a bunch of soon to be Ewoks. What's not to love?
"Lasers, 8 o'clock, day one!" I love it! My kind of evil genius.
i dont get it...
Morph, you've never seen Time Bandits?
never seen it.... should i have?
Yes.
