I was on a flight last week where they taped an overhead compartment shut. Classy.
Classy depends on the kind of tape.... scotch, masking, duct......

Im sure your carry on bag of double ended black & pink dildos and industrial lube could push right through it with a little turbulence....

Exactly. As cabin pressure builds, more stress is placed around the corners of square windows. Three de Havilland Comets with square windows crashed in the 1950’s as a result.

Plus aircraft designers didn’t think about the added stress pressurization would place on an air frame. Oh well, people died and they learned from it.

That's the best way we learn, unfortunatly

It’s also often the most cost effective way to learn, unfortunately. Research and development costs lots of money, after all. But those accidents have led to air travel being the safest form of travel.

Back when the Wright Bros. were alive, if we told them being strapped in a pressurized capsule moving along at Mach 0.80 at an altitude of 40,000 feet was the safest way to travel, we’d be in prison.

we would have ruled the sky had the Comet worked
11 months ago
That is a Boeing. Most likely an older 757.

The Comet did work, you dumb fuck. The Comet 4 was in service for 30 years. The problem is you assfaces didn’t get it right until the fourth version.
