Too many new sketches too frequently is the same amount of work and time wasted as 1 sketch turned into a decent attempt at finalizing one's art.
But hey you do you. I would upload more art here, but I feel like it should be semi-mucho related. I regretted drunk-drawing that last Christmas sub and haven't really done anything for mucho since.

wait - you drew an xmas sub?
yeah, link it fgt!

let's ask punky!

btw because I learned by animation methods, I never colour, I just draw contours. Colouring is the last stage and the one I hate the most.

I was drunk and I spent about an hour on it

was that picture taken in the 20's?

Ll and a couple other people were being cunts and that's when I decided it wasn't worth doing, not here at least.

tits are always welcome here my son

It was taken with a phone and again I was drunk

Sub an animation fgt.
Or don't.

the left arm looks really good. Nice perspective.
I havent animated in ages. It's wayyy to much hard work for little reward.
Yeah but the right arm...lol
don't drink and draw, it can't be done. Smoking weed and drawing can be done, as I have been discovering.

I've been working on a fish man for about 1 month, maybe 20 hours into it and I haven't got much to show lol
3 weeks ago
Show us your tits instead!!!!!
Wait, what????
wow bro. See that's why I dont colour. It's great, but SOO time consuming. I just practice figures all the time.

No paper and crayons?

LAME!!!!!

I either draw pen/pencil black and white
or I do completely digital in which case I color everything I do.
I am color blind and I use a color code table for digital, and I just gave up on traditional coloring

dude, if it's giving you that much trouble move on to something else. I've thrown away more than 20 hours work before just because it wasnt working and I didn't have to get it done. It's not like you;re gonna get paid for a finished piece of work anyway. Mayb dial it back and practice some of the basics again and work back up to that level of work. For example, I watched a video about line quality today...

Or, don't press so hard and not jackhammer the papper

When he drew Arny's photo with the old shading technique I got a comic book nostalgia boner.
I used to shade like that in secondary (high) school
3 weeks ago
I sometimes crosshatch because it can be a lot cleaner and more professional looking, but that was when I had deviantart and people would actually commission me.
I shade so hard i broke my tablet
Tablet = a little table
The problem with extremely clean crosshatching is it can be too good to be true. There are programs that can crosshatch shade automatically based on your input or if you're drawing something based on a photograph, it can just take the shading spots and intensity from the photo.
Kinda sad, but it killed off people who were genuinely gods at crosshatching.

That reminds me... possum owes us some cross hatch chili scans...

that is a shame. Cross hatching is beautiful

One of my favorite crosshatch-artists of all time (He was a friend of my advanced drawing teacher in high school)
He has a simple yet extremely effective crosshatch

that shit's insane. I like the old cross hatching you get on old woodcuts and engravings. Looks oldworldy.

Stipple FTW!!!!!
I learned all these art words to impress the ladies in college art programs
3 weeks ago
Works everytime
Stippling is awesome, but I never got into it because I have a squirrel's attention span when it comes from beginning to end for art.
(if I don't start seeing the final picture in my work after a couple hours...fuck that shit)
Kind of like referencing "slant rhyme" to the literature majors....
Plus stippling will fuck up your wrists and fingers.
Seriously get a piece of paper and try to put as many dots as you can for no rhyme or reason and you'll know what I'm talking about after like ~5 minutes.
Stippling art takes hours.
Can i dip my nib pen in your ink?

Those "art" chicks are easy

Chicks...yeah sure...
