Pretty cool guitar technique

This guy has developed a nice styling, half percussive, half guitar, see for yourself

I can do that. And I bang a drum with my cock at the same time.

definitely different, you're not even sure what he's playing if you're not watching him.

it is impressive but its just fancy finger tapping

What's the guy's name, kind of hard to tell what they're saying at the beginning

this guy is from montreal\canada... i remember have seen him praticing this in the subway...

similar to modern neo classical guitar where they use the guitars body for percussion

justin king does somthing similar but on 2 different necks simoultainously...ill give it to this guy though, his stuff sounds a little better put togeather and not as repeditive as kings

Ugh it's highly repetitive and all in the same scale. I find it very difficult to listen to.

there's another guitarist that sounds like this....her name is Kaki King...really fuckin good....i actually like her stuff better

@asclepius - he can make one scale sound better than you can with 5.

@Thursday - Erik Mongrain

Needs more cowbell.

@Glazex - I listened to his tune again after reading your comment and yes, it still sounds shitty.

with an open tuning like hes using pretty much anything you play will sound good. The fact that harmonics play that big of part in his music means he'll probably only be able to use a few scales. + justin king rocks, this guys just a 1 trick pony.

ok its something new, wow. but it really sounds like shit.

good job stealing an old invention and adding a pickup to it

God... damn... this guy obviously lives and breaths hammering and harmonics on the guitar. Fucking awesome.

Um, didn't Eddie Van Halen 'borrow' this technique from multiple bluesmen back in the 1970's?
^^^ Actually Eddie got it from Billy Gibbons of ZZTop who used a single one on a single song. Gibbons had no idea how his one little note was going to change the sound of rock music.
Sick but true.

BTW =VH= is a band from the early 70s.

This guy's playing is some interesting stuff but I wouldn't be able to listen to it for more than a few moments.

Talent, but wouldn't pay money to see the guy perform...
