Heavy Rain: The Interview

Quantic Dream, the guys behind Fahrenheit (the game that started really good but ended up being shit?) are working on another highly stylised video game on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. At E3, they released this “casting” video of Heavy Rain running on PS3 in real time. Pretty cool.

At this point in time it doesn't look too much like a giant leap forward as far as video game graphics are concerned.

its realtime rendering.. thats the big deal

hahaha, I love the end. "Doesn't matter..."

but on the other hand, Metal Gear Solid 4 looks great on PS3, or MotorStorm..

oh dear crappy 360 graphics for this game, lets hope metal gear solid and killzone etc can actually use the ps3 properly...

Fahrenheit was called Indigo Prophecy in the US. Only decent game Atari relesed. When I worked for them I got the read the entire design docks of the game. it was like a fucking novel.
I'll be sure to get this on PC when it comes out.

Yak.... come now.... it's Ryoga.... duh.

Almost looks like the makings of a virtual reality show wrapped up in a game.... hmm, I wonder if that can be considered a double oxymoron?

Looks hot. Loved indigo prophecy, and i'll be sure to pick this one up if it comes to the 360.

all very cool, but can i cut up body's in it?

So... Yeah... The graphics are nice, but will it be fun to play?

I'll never find a reason to buy a 360. Seems like a lost cause. And my PC already matches and probably surpasses it.

Indigo Prophecy was not about game play, it was more an interactive movie. Well written and directed like any top budget class A film. The game is in a genre on itself. If Heavy Rain is anywhere near the likes of Indigo Prophecy it will own all. However, it never sold well. While it received more awards that you could shake a stick at, you needed an i.q. over 120 to play it. And, well, you get the idea.

I jerked off to the monologue, then smiled, knowing that if my bitch pulled a piece of shit revolver to my head, in an instant i'd loose 200 lbs!

so what exactly is this game about? the hustle and bustle of trying to get a role in hollywood?

This was pretty well done

I don't what's the big deal is about cheating...sometimes I get tired of eating noodles, it doesn't mean I don't like noodles anymore, I just need a break, maybe a bowl of rice for a couple days, then noodles will taste just fine again.

That's funny, I was under the impression that this "interactive movie" required more reflexes than actual intelligence above that of the average adventure gamer of old.

Lots of smashing buttons as quickly as possible and pressing things in sequence to distract from seeing what was actually occuring on screen.
