I didn't know that 4 little words in Chinese translates to 2+ minutes of English dialogue.

Amazing.

He isnt the only one that can do it i saw i guy from the states doing it on ripley he knocked out five people by taping a sequence of pressure points on them then had to go back around to revive them. I'd love to know learn that iron shirt techniqu, i think you have to sit in really uncomfortable positions for hours at a time.

interesting. thanks ringo and yak for posting this. and to dick - some asian languages like chinese and japanese are more abstract in nature..hence the translation can be rocky and you often have to use more english words to get the concept across. although in some instances, the host was merely explaining to the audience in depth so they could understand more about meridian points etc.

Quite the interesting find indeed. Learning how to control one's chi flow through tapping precise points in the body may seem far fetched, but through every far fetched theory there is a step by step literal analysis. This could have some truth if not all be true after all.

I hate people who try to sound clever by saying things like 'one's'. Especially when the apostrophe is unnecessary. Dickface

Those poor saps on UFC or those other full contact fight organizations...all that training, and all they had to do was to learn this death touch technique, learning how to interupt someones cheese, and they could be undefeated.

Whatta waste.

I suppose it would be too dangerous because in the UFC you might accidentally kill people. It is, after all, easier to kill than to knock unconsious when youre an expurt.
What part of only a selected few are thought this do you not understand, do you really think they teach this stuff to anyone. It takes years an years of training an plus imagine any that wanted to learn it could "hhmmmm being able to kill someone by shuting down their nervous system without leaving a scratch" get a grip.

I like the way he didn't quite use the word "heaven" seeing as anyone making specific reference to heaven in mainland China is asking for trouble from the authorities.

This doesn't sound very informed but I can believe if he's actually causing some sort of neurological "disruption" with those jabs but chi has always been about as believable as the force to me.

There, of course, is going to be a lot of "ooga-booga" mumbo-jumbo surrounding something like this, since these dudes are as much performing as anything else, but... If acupuncture works to heal (for many things) why shouldn't that same knowledge be aplicable to fucking people up?

And before the MMA groupies all start up on this one. Many very effective fighting styles come with philosiphies which preclude participating in MME competitions. Yeah, they're cool and fun to watch but the world's real badasses aren't going to be going to them.

very clever. hitting pressure points in the body and throwing off someones chi. its basically hitting the area and the person knowing you just hit them in that area causing nerve damage and you cannot do shit about it.
That's true^^, esp. if they have a non-violent buddhist philosophy.

lol@ monsewage. Thank you Professor for your explanation of Asian languages in comparison to their English translations. Apparently, my 2 years of taking Japanese and my roommate's 3 years of Mandarin never taught us that a small phrase could actually be a long paragraph of translated speech (especially, if the translator is presenting it as if he's quoting the speaker).

Is there anyone else besides johnny-ringo and I who thinks this might be a little overplayed?

Who knows what our minds are capable of if the human race was at its evolutionry peak why do we only use a small percentage of our brains. Science still doesnt know what most of it does. We think thru electricl brain activity yeh , we have electricl energy all around use, how far fetched is it to imagine that some people can conect to it an use it or interfer with someone elses energy ?
His 30 years of training ended instantly when he realized that an 8 year old with an AK47 can kill anyone too.
fake... oh wait its on tv so it must be true.. PURE crap, this is like religion. it wont work unless you have faith on it...

jk, btw i come from a long line of uber warriors, and only one per generation is taught the secret "Killing Stare" thats right, by staring you disrupt the chi of your opponent and kill them, the downside is that it wont work with any1 watching or recording.
and fuz, again i dont think its impossible but it certainly sounds so. the electricity on our brain is soo small, that to be able to "map" it, (Electro Encephalo gram) we need to amplify it! so to think of our brain electricity doing an arch (dont know the term) to another person's brain is very much far fetched. we'll have to settle with voice to communicate =P

Actually this technique is well known in china ,just that pretty much no one practice
this. All literature in teaching these styles were burned thanks to communism or
chairman mao.

Complete bullshit. It's damned humorous how you guys scream "FAKE!" on every other picture and video here, but believe this nonsense.

Yeah, ooook... He magically pulls energy from the earth and sky, and throws it like an X-Men movie or something.

Only one asshole per generation can know this technique. Why is that? Oh, because it's bullshit. No, wait, it's because it's too daaaaaaaangerous and pooooooowerful. What if that one asshole dies? Or let me guess--he can't, because he's a super hero, right? Yeah, alright; we have nukes and we flaunt them, but THIS shit, we're keeping a lid on.
TiredGuy- 1st of all this technique doesn't kill you ,it only stuns or can be very uncomfortable.BTW I guess you have no or little knowledge about chinese culture or their history. So stop being ignorant.I guess ppl all say the one inch punch is
all crap till they actually see bruce lee performs it on TV right?
bah stupid page erased my comment... anyway in summary:
-hit between sternum and bellybutton can stun you (makes you exhale air and hurts) this is true
- hitting the back to "revive" them.. bullshit. no more sake (or whatever they drink in china) for that martial arts expert or whatever

-ancient chinese technique that only the one know. bullshit i just explained it
- chi . i dont believe in that but im open minded

you are better off hitting hard the spine, giving medular shock that can even cause temporary paralysis

and that one inch punch? well its not hard to make a person fall in an upright standing position. only one inch away makes it harder but bruce lee is extremely fast. (tho its not the power of the fist, its the whole body action that makes them fall)

-johnson goplay with your dragonball dolls.

I've spent a while looking it up an it looks like its just phisics and bioligy.
i dont blame anyone who thinks this is bullshit. it seems totally farfetched especially from a western perspective, but its not so outrageous once you start researching quantum consciousness, the holographic principle, etc. research bohm and his 1982 experiment on particle/wave duality. ultimately, consciousness and matter are inseparable.
hmm i guess my last post was pretty useless considering this is muchosucko and anyone and everyone who comes here is either horny or morbid.
I saw a very good documentry before about an anesthesiologists/neuroscientist who was studying consciousness and mentioned a case of a patient who was undergoing an operation where she was purposely made brain dead for it by being keep alive by bringing down the body tempeture really low with ice. Anyway after the operation the woman told doctors she heard an saw the could operation an could tell doctors everything they said and did. From that case and others an evidence he concluded that conciousnes could leave the body but for how long the mecanism that keeps it together did so after our phsical body died or if it just disapated after a while into vast expanse of the space is unknown.

I believe the Russians were the original experts in the field of using cold as a form of anaesthetic after observing the behaviour of wolves in the cold.

Espleyboy stop being an ass hat and think outside your vagina for once.
Volcano-

"tho its not the power of the fist, its the whole body action that makes them fall"
Its the force of body movement transfered onto the fist thats why u don't see much body movement from bruce when he performs it .

Lets see you without much movement and do an inch punch and make someone
fall idiot.
i believe that you have certain vulnerable points on in your body, but the 'inserting chi' thing strikes me as total bullshit. ive never believed in chi.

i think it can all be explained with modern science..

The force is strong in this one.

geez all he could have been doing is hitting there bread basket with his rock fingers i know that that would be enough to make any person drop if you get hit good enough there

Sanch - I understand what you mean. Light acts as particles would, since it has momentum, for momentum you need mass therefor acting like a particle. But it also acts as a wave, having frequency and all that. Sadly that's as far as I go, so I couldn't really say anything towards matter and conciousness being inseperable.

As for the video...I'm gonna guess this is just really crazy ancient martial arts with the ancient lore still on the cover. Chi? No, I doubt it. Nerves, pressure points, human structure? Yes. This is another example of something modern science can explain, but people keep it shrouded in ancient lore. Kind of like the northern lights, innuit still believe it's the spirits of their ancestors, we know it simply as the magnetic particles being swirled around the earth's poles from the sun

Toss that guy in with some UFC guys and we will see how far he gets.
fuz. that's a myth. Humans do not use 3% or 10%. humans are constantly using about 80%, but most of that is doing unconcious tasks .Scientists think that all that background activity, is our brain going over everything we have ever seen or experienced, to form our constant sense of reality. I thought that was true for a long time too.

derk, the thing about the particle/wave duality aspect of light is, the observer actually plays the part of deciding what state it is in. without observation, light has the properties of both a particle and a wave at the same time. once the observer observes, light becomes a particle or wave, depending on what the observer WANTS it to be. the implications of this may be a bit of a reach if you dont read much on this stuff, but the experiment by itself is pretty crazy. a lot of physicists are still baffled by this.

as for the whole farfetched eastern mysticism thing, you may want to consider it just being a different perspective on the same thing. crap i have to go. more lata.
