That wasn't water... it was ANTHRAX! (insert conspiracy theory here)

so...

just for reference, -40 C= -40 F
so that's how the New Year's Eve ball is made.... Dick Clark would be proud!

Umm -40 C is no where near -40 f. Assuming of course we are talking about Celsius and Fahrenheit. Reguardless, -40 c is fucking cold.
Uh... Actually, seems like Thrax is right on that one, RandAl. Weird, huh?

I wouldn't know myself, we use both in the UK (whichever sounds hottest when it's hot, and whichever sounds coldest when it's cold) and it's bloody confusing.

Rand-al... assuming of course, you have a dick up your ass you faggot.

Heh I have no concept of -40 C when 40+ C is summer for me.
Hell, where I live we pretty much have 10 months of 80*-90*f and 2 months of 50*-60*f.
I put the heat on when it drops all the way to 60*f!

Then again, the only seasons we have here are shark season, sting-ray season, hurricane season and tourist season.

My Balls Itch, you live in Florida too?

"-40 degrees Celsius = -40 degrees Fahrenheit" ~ Google

Just type in "-40 celsius to fahrenheit "

But yeah thats pretty cool, and it's not a fake DC Tim. At -40 Degrees water at any tempareture will freeze instantly which is what happened there, the water was frozen and became like snow flakes.

@thrax - you're a fucking moron
@Commentbot - way to tell off Rand Al Thor, You're an idiot too
11 years ago
Hey fucktards, -40 celsius DOES equal -40 fahrenheit.

Go to school.
wow, i didnt believe it at first, but they are all right, -40F = -40 C
11 years ago
Wow, just did the equations on a piece of paper, it seems -40f does = -40c, weird.
I assume its to do with the different properties of water and alcohol (?) from which the two systems are based.
OOOOooo, "I just did the equations." You still look like a retard.

Jesus, American education must be horrible. The reason it froze so quickly was BECAUSE the water was so hot. Hot water freezes faster than cold water when stretched thinly because of evaporation removing heat from the water. By throwing the water in the air, he spread out the water, making the cold freeze the water quickly. That's why it's retarded to clean your car with hot water in the winter - and even more retarded to melt ice on your car by using hot water.

Fahrenheit is a temperature scale named after the German physicist Gabriel Fahrenheit (1686–1736), who proposed it in 1724.

In this scale, the freezing point of water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit (written "32 °F"), and the boiling point is 212 degrees, placing the boiling and melting points of water 180 degrees apart. Thus the unit of this scale, a degree Fahrenheit, is 5/9ths of a kelvin (which is a degree Celsius), and minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit is equal to minus 40 degrees Celsius.

I just used a Google Fahrenheit-Celsius converter. Forgot the equation long ago.

Looks like that guy threw that water in front of the SaskPower building on Vic Ave.

you know, ive always wondered what happens to water when it gets too cold! this video is great!

-40°C = -40°F = 233.15°k = 419.67°R

Majestic- nice to see someone who stayed awake in Thermo. You are on the right trail with the "spreading" of the water but, to be more accurate, it was the introduction of greater surface area that allowed the more efficient transfer of energy from the water to the air combined with the evaporation.

good god it's called sublimation, when a substance skips a state change...in this case the boiling water reverts straight to little snow flakes. So the steam gets turned into little snow flakes and so does the water. Anyway...Celcius and Farenheit are two different measurments for the change in heat, I guess it just so happens that -40 F equals -40 C. Anyway, interesting video but sort of a waste of time.
at -40 its where F takes over C.... as you get colder F actually goes lower then C
11 years ago
isnt that where subliming starts to happen?

"OOOOooo, "I just did the equations." You still look like a retard. "

Then it is good that I don't give a shit, isn' it?
^^^ Then why post a reply? LOL!
I don't give a shit whether you want to call it farenheit, celcius or kick my ass with a frozen boot. I know from first hand experience that when its 40 below with a 30 mph or 50 kph wind blowing on the bald arsed prairie while putting in a pipeline you think long and hard before you drop your insullated coveralls to take a shit behind a dirt pile.
what is that in kelvin? you fags. <br>AMSTERDAM MARCH 10th
11 years ago
-40 celcius is equal to -233.15 kelvin.

hey! i can use google too fucktards. what a collection of pissants. the sasquatch guy was cool though. back to beating your pathetic meats everybody YIPEE!!

P.S. you are all gay

P.P.S. except that sasquatch guy who is cool

sasquatch, next time you drop one behind a dirt pile, look long and hard to make sure KracKtaKular isn't waiting to try and slip you the old hot beef injection...

FAKE. because everyone knows it would'nt make powder, it would make a big deadly icicle like in Mortal Kombat. NEWBS!
u would think that maybe there would be some steam coming outa the pot if it was boiling...could be wrong though?
