Except for the last motherhood and apple pie slide, this was fascinating, thank you. I have one question. The continental masses are shown gradually merging and disappearing. But I have yet to see a projection showing new continents being formed at the same time from the portion of the earth emerging from the core. What do you think?

Really?...

A seven year noob...and thats what you bring to the table?

The reason no more land mass appears to emerge is because the continents merge due to tectonic drift where emerging land mass is pulled towards fault lines where the land sinks back down. The volume of the earth can never increase due to gravity, and the sinking of land back into the mantle.

@sporty...that's the same kind of thing he was saying 7 years ago:

And yet, TD, you're here and not sitting with your nose in a news site 24 hours a day. Let me give you a clue, MuchoSucko is about the least important thing going on right now.

Also, when all is considered in proportion, the Northern and Southern lights were here long before humans first stood upright, and will be here long after our 65 million year old petrified bones are being unearthed by the next great species. Maybe it IS more important than anything else going on right now.

wouldn't it suck if you lived on a planet that like at the very end of the existence of the universe you just evolved into an intelligent being but like the next day the universe ceases to exist?
like, that would totally suck.

lol really? Why is the Earth expanding?
i just thought it was expanding.... is it not the case
5 years ago
it's the universe that's expanding, and planets and galaxies that are moving further apart.

No, that's US citizens.

This is all assuming we even survive the extinction events that naturally occur approximately every 62 million years... And that we don't blow ourselves up a la Terminator/Matrix.

Is there a version of this somewhere that's a little fucking slower? 'Cause I'm not sure 8 fucking minutes per frame is enough time to absorb all that complex writing and shit. Really, I'm a fucking illiterate with time to waste.
