Higgs Boson

On 07/04/2012 the discovery of a new subatomic particle (that is likely the elusive Higgs boson - a particle thought to give all other matter its mass) was announced. The long-sought-after Higgs, is the missing link in the reigning theory of particle physics; but finding the Higgs has even wider implications: It opens the door for exploring the existence of dark matter. Lord Queso: Standard Model of particle physics MOTHERFUCKER! *throws hands in the air*

I don't think it was quite "discovered", just a lot more evidence points to it.

Yes, but reporters and the general population don't seem to understand the difference.

I'm excited about the possibility of dark matter.

I thought I heard they said there is 1 chance on 2 million that it's NOT the higgs boson ... So big chance it is. And they never detected the actual particle as such. On such a scale you can only hope to measure "side effects" of the particle that will tell you it's actually there. Well for a tiny fraction of a fraction of a fraction of nanosecond.

This 2012. They saw the shadow. So it is there. Just no discovery yet

Thanks to the higgs boson, tits have mass. After years of painstaking research, we can finally explain this most monumental theory. Ladies, please get your tits out and present your higgs bosoms in celebration!!!
